Our Programs

Mental health education helps students understand that difficult feelings are normal, they are not alone, and asking for help is a sign of strength. Patrol Stories teaches children simple ways to cope with anxiety, stress, and feeling overwhelmed, while helping them recognize trusted adults and resources they can turn to for support. Students also learn that help is available 24/7 through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or emotional distress. Most importantly, we remind every student that hard moments can pass, support is available, and they should never give up.

Cyber safety education helps children understand how to enjoy games, streaming, and the internet while making smart, safe choices. Patrol Stories teaches students how to protect personal information, recognize suspicious messages or unsafe behavior, respond to online bullying, and know when to stop, block, report, and tell a trusted adult. By building healthy digital habits early, we help children feel more confident online and better prepared to handle the risks they may face in today’s connected world.

Our Public Safety & Healthy Living programs provide students with practical, age-appropriate knowledge designed to help them make safer decisions at school, at home, and throughout their community. Students learn when and how to call 911, what information to provide during an emergency, and how to recognize situations that require immediate help from a first responder or trusted adult. The curriculum also addresses bicycle and E-Scooter safety, including helmet use, safe riding practices, awareness of vehicles and pedestrians, and the importance of following community safety rules. Students are introduced to traffic lights, crosswalks, and common street and traffic signs so they can better understand how to safely navigate neighborhoods, school zones, and public spaces. Additional lessons focus on identifying trusted adults, understanding appropriate boundaries, recognizing unsafe or suspicious situations, and knowing what to do when approached by a stranger or when they feel uncomfortable or unsafe. By combining emergency preparedness, injury prevention, personal safety, and healthy decision-making, these programs equip children with practical skills and resources that can reduce preventable injuries, improve emergency response, and help create safer, healthier communities.

Our Drug Prevention programs are designed to reduce early substance-use risk by giving students clear, age-appropriate information about vaping, smoking, nicotine, and the long-term impact these products can have on health, decision-making, and quality of life. Students learn how vaping devices, cigarettes, and other nicotine products can affect the lungs, heart, brain development, physical performance, and overall well-being.

Instruction focuses on building practical refusal skills, strengthening confidence, and helping students recognize situations in which they may be pressured to vape, smoke, or try other substances. Students are taught to just say no, remove themselves from unsafe situations, seek support from trusted adults, and make choices that protect their health and future.

These programs are structured to support measurable outcomes such as increased student knowledge of the health risks associated with vaping and smoking, improved ability to recognize peer and media influences, stronger refusal and decision-making skills, and greater awareness of trusted resources for help. By introducing prevention education before harmful behaviors become established, Patrol Stories helps schools and communities promote healthier choices, reduce substance-use risk, and equip students with the knowledge and confidence to remain drug- and nicotine-free.
